I accidentally miscoded the safe prior to leaving for the day, and asked the woman at the front desk to reset it for me before departing. I watched her key in the code and she said she was unable to unlock it and would have to wait for the manager to arrive to reset it. Fine. I left the hotel for the entire day (7am-7pm) and upon my return called to have the manager come unlock it. I watched him enter in the exact same code the woman earlier did and unlock the safe. He left our room and my friend and I grabbed out wallets to count our cash for the tip for our excursion. At that point we discovered she was missing $200 and I was missing $300. We left early the next morning for our trek and upon our return had to scramble and visit multiple atms to get enough cash to tip our hike guides properly. We discovered in our group that four of us had had money stolen from the in-room safes that day totaling $900. The hotel manager is definitely in on this racket, such a dishonest operation. Do... The kitchen and restaurant staff were really lovely though. Very kind and attentive. The one star I gave is due to them.

Oh btw, the room safe code is 0000, for all the rooms. Maybe by posting this here they’ll reset them all and actually take guest asset security seriously. More

  Our room was fantastic, very large with a large tub!! We had 4 bottles of water in our room..we went on the free coffee tour..was very imformative..also toured the veggie... read more gardens. My dinner was the vegetarian dish of pasta and cheese with broccoli..very good!! Staff is wonderful. Also has a nice outside porch in the back where we watched the monkeys! Breakfast has a nice egg station with fresh fruits and good coffee!

They were flying and on the ground. At dinner we simply asked if something could be done. He said no. Then comes back before dinner was finished and we were told we had to change rooms because of the bugs INSIDE and outside the room. They asked us to pack our bags and call to have the bags picked up. We went to call and the phone did not work so we moved our own bags.
Room #2 had a missing ceiling fan A/C that did not work and no wifi. Over the next 2+ hours these items were addressed. This was a night to relax and start an amazing experience. That did not happen. Must say the food was good. THEN to top if off after all we have been through we were presented a bill for $17 upon check out for water, one wine and one beer. In my mind that was just ultimate in lack of accountability. We did pay it and simply figured our sharing our displeasure would go unheard. With all the options of places to stay in this area I imagine you will be able to find one that has more accountability and less issues. More
